MISSION
To promote and foster the development of soccer for players of all ages in Chaffee County, Western Fremont County, and other adjacent counties. The highest standards of competitive play are encouraged through unity, sportsmanship, professional and volunteer coaching, and ongoing education conducted in a safe and enjoyable environment.
RECREATIONAL VISION
The vision for CCU recreational coaches is to teach the game in an atmosphere that allows players to learn values. The characteristics of integrity, sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for others and self-discipline take priority over winning in all circumstances at CCU. Our belief in creating soccer players who prioritize these qualities on the pitch and in their community is our number one goal.
COMPETITIVE VISION
The vision for CCU competitive coaches is to have eleven players contribute systematically to both offense and defense, utilizing divergent and convergent thinking to create and execute solutions while modeling values of integrity, sportsmanship, teamwork, respect and self-discipline.
PLAYER'S GAME
The demands from the game make soccer a "player's game". Players on the field must make decisions and execute technique all within the game. Coaches must allow during training and games for players to practice this very important element. The job of the coach is to teach each player the tactical and technical elements. This happens during training, on the sideline and occasionally on the pitch during the game. Coaches need to prioritize teaching over execution and winning.
